When Worlds Collide: Pardon My Fashion Meets Fabulous Musings

I’ve known my best friend Brittany since she was 5 and I was 6 and a half (I’m only a year and a half older than her. Actually, I’m one year, 5 months and 10 days older than her to be precise). Long story short, we are so close that sometimes she takes a shower at my place or comes and hangs out, even when I’m not home (she always calls and asks me btw). We’ve known each other for so long, that we have a shorthand when we talk. For example, how’s your sig o? means how is your boyfriend, or significant other. 

Brittany is really into fashion. I mean really into fashion. She works for a clothing company and runs fashion shoots for them. We read Vogue and watch Fashion Police in the same fashion as most people watch sports. For us, a typical Friday night sounds something like this: 

Jasmine

OMG that outfit is so ridiculous!

Brittany

But it’s so avant guard!

Jasmine

I can see why it’s fabulous but I just don’t enjoy looking like a horse. 

Brittany

Kelly agrees with me.

Jasmine

I know, I’m such a Giuliana sometimes. 

BRITTANY goes into the bathroom, and emerges cleaning a BOOT with a HAND TOWEL.

Brittany

Do you want to do a photo shoot today girl? I’m OBSESSED with your new sweater.

Jasmine

Of course girl!

Brittany

But I need to pick out the outfits and do the styling. You know how controlling I am.

Jasmine

Girl, you know I always put you in charge of….Are you using my face towel to clean your boots?

Brittany

That’s funny, you should write that down (looks down at boot) oh, sorry. 

Where was I? Oh yes, fashion. I get compliments on my style a lot, and while a majority of that style is mine, Brittany has hand picked every item of clothing I bought over the last 3 years. We spontaneously did a photo shoot, which Brit styled and directed. I too will soon be converting to a .com, as soon as I figure out how to transfer my blog to my website. This is also the much anticipated debut of my purple hair. So enjoy the fashion by Brittany! She told me all the outfits she picked for me are very in fashion right now :) All clothing from Forever 21 Plus, with the exception of the last top, which is from Lulu. I won it at a blog event. Most accessories and shoes from Forever 21 as well. 

 

For the business woman on the go. Nothing is so unfashionable than matching right now, unless your shoes match your hair. I don’t know if you can tell, but I was worried we would get hit by a car. 

 

This is my ghetto fabulous look. My character is named Kiki and she is from Queens. Also, Brittany told me to pretend to be a cat in the first picture. I don’t normally lick my hand. I’m just amazed how the picture turned out because I thought I looked really stupid. I also pray to God no one tries to photo shot that picture.
